Here's a short and sweet breakdown of the internal structure at Notting Hill Housing. Everyone who works here is part of one of these five directorates.
Commercial Services
Our Commercial Services directorate is made up of the businesses that generate money for the rest of Notting Hill. This means that we can deliver on our "profit with purpose" plan. We put all the money we make back into the social side of the business to provide homes and services for people who need some help to get on in life.
How do we make money?
We manage properties for other landlords and let them as temporary housing to homeless people. We let and manage properties at market rent levels too. Then there's Notting Hill Home Ownership (NHHO) where people can buy homes either outright or with shared ownership.
We know buying a home can be a stressful time and we pride ourselves on our friendly helpful sales people.
Housing Services
Our Housing Services directorate is our biggest by far and does so much more than providing homes for people who need them.
Our housing is closely tied to a range of services and products to help our tenants improve their lives. We offer volunteering opportunities for tenants to help their community and gain work experience skills, all kinds of employment training, a savings scheme and truly affordable home ownership. We have sports and other youth programmes to help our young people plan for a positive future. And for our more vulnerable residents we offer additional help from our Notting Hill Home Support (NHHS) service.
Corporate services
Our Corporate services directorate keeps Notting Hill open for business, running smoothly and puts a smile on the faces of our lovely staff. Corporate services includes:
- Human Resources (HR)
- a staff training team
- a really friendly Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Team
- Policy and Continuous Improvement (PCI) who make sure we keep getting better at what we do
- the Communication Team, who deal with everything we say and where and how we say it
- Facilities Management who run our head office with all mod cons.
Development and New Business
The Development and New Business directorate is responsible for everything that happens in order to build new homes for us. They compete and buy land, broker business partnerships to deliver whole new developments and project manage the build of every home. This covers our homes for rent, shared ownership and outright sale.
Financial services
With all our different businesses, collecting rent, building and selling homes, designing affordable home ownership products and working with Government grant, Notting Hill’s finances are quite complex!
Our team of funky number crunchers have helped Notting Hill Housing be one of the financially strongest housing providers in London.
